The K*I*S*S* Fitness Program for KIDS


The K*I*S*S* Fitness Program for KIDS is directed at children and youth in grades 6 through 12 (middle school and high school).  It is a simple presentation of the first three chapters of the K*I*S*S* Fitness Program that I feel will be easily digestible by kids.  The book is brief and is suitable for mass distribution by schools, scout groups, and others that have a mission which includes physical education of youth.  My hope is that the book will stimulate an interest in fitness along with the realization that getting fit and staying fit isn’t really that hard and might even be fun.   

The Program has two parts, each of which is ideally suited for a semester-length physical education course.  The course can be repeated year after year so that students who lag behind  can gradually build their fitness level till they can complete the program.  For students who do complete the program, they can move on to the advanced program in the original K*I*S*S* Fitness Program.

I am temporarily offering the book free of charge as an eBook.  After it is published in book form, this offer will no longer be availbale.  If you are an educator or leader of a youth group and would like to reproduce multiple copies of the book for distribution, please contact me first.  I have no bjection to this.  However, I would like to have details on all schools and groups that are using the book as part of a physical education program.  I would also be happy to offer advice on implementing a fitness program based on the book.  Please contact me for this as well. 

Although I have emphasized the use of the book by groups, it is perfectly suitable for use by individuals.  However, to keep interest high, as is true of any fitness program, it would be helpful if two or more kids use the program together.  Some playful competition never hurts either.
